When we were introduced nine years ago through the WIN program [now the Portlandia Mentorship Program] I was determined to set high goals regarding my personal development plan. Many of my goals have been realized, thanks to the support and encouragement by numerous individuals, including you. I continue to work toward realizing all of the goals I have set, one of which is to work towards earning a degree. —AP

When I met my candidate, I was quite stressed about the stock market and some normal stuff, but came away from that meeting feeling grateful and optimistic.

Being a mentor allows me to give back to the community. In return the candidates make me feel like I’m really making a difference. The rewards of helping other women cannot be measured or truly expressed in words. It has made me a better person. —NP
